The top 7 reasons you can’t lose weight. Also, take my challenge to find out if you are insulin resistant AND do my exercise to find your top 3 reasons you should be losing weight and gaining health RIGHT NOW!
I want to address the most common objections I hear to starting a new and healthy lifestyle program. Some of this is written in the context of “with Medifast” because I believe it is a quality scientifically proven program that can help SO many people (70% of Americans are overweight or obese) but the principles and information still apply to almost anyone! The first of which is:
“It doesn’t fit my lifestyle. I can’t eat every 2-3 hours.”
Eating every 2-3 hours is the ideal way to kick up your metabolism and prevent hunger throughout the day. It’s a critical part of the program. I can’t suggest, in good conscious, any other way for you to eat. If you get too hungry then it causes obesity due to poor metabolism, overeating and poor food choices. If you choose to eat correctly then your blood sugar and insulin levels can stabilize and you won’t feel fatigued and unable to concentrate or focus all day. I want you to try this exercise. Face a wall at a distance of about 3 feet. Stand up straight and walk to the wall. If your tummy is the first thing that hits the wall then you are almost certainly insulin resistant. Insulin resistance is the inability of your body to properly convert the food that you eat into energy to fuel your cells. It is instead turned into fat and stored in your body. You must learn to eat correctly. It also helps prevent constipation and bloating. Medifast meals are portable and extremely easy to fit into a busy lifestyle. In fact i would argue that they are easier to arrange than the meal planning or travel for meals that you are doing right now.
“It’s too expensive. I still have to feed my family other meals.”
At a cost of about $10-11/day and the promise of 5 pounds lost each week for the first two weeks and then 1-2 pounds per week thereafter.. is it really so costly? Ten dollars is less than a lot of people spend just going out to lunch or buying gourmet coffees, sodas, and snacks. If you lose weight then your healthcare costs and medication costs may be reduced. Some people can get off of cpap machines or alleviate joint and muscle pain. Your family may consider doing Medifast with you. Why not? Medifast is scientifically proven to work safely and they even have programs for teens starting at age 13. It would be a great way to support and encourage one another to a healthier and happier life. But even if they aren’t ready for change I’d still focus on the improvement you will get in your health. Other family members will need to eat either way and those meals can be planned without proportions for you. Perhaps they will start to adopt your healthy behaviors and you will save them the grief and pain that poor lifestyle choices cause.
“I like real food too much. It’s a comfort and joy for me”
This is where you need to consider your why. Why do you want to lose weight? I’d like you to actually write down a list of all the reasons you want to lose weight and pick the top 3 that mean the most to you. Then write those 3 on a separate piece of paper that you can look at daily. Let this be your motivation for change. It’s hard for you to imagine right now but food is a comfort for you because it’s become a coping mechanism. Once you adopt healthier food habits and a healthier lifestyle you will turn to other things for comfort. For example you might start to crave exercise/walking, reading a book, a new hobby or craft or just relaxing with your significant other. You will have a new peace and self confidence.
“The portions are too small. I will feel hungry.”
This is where you learn how much food you don’t need. In America we are supersized to death. We have very unrealistic expectations about food proportions. Medifast gives you appropriate portions and an eating schedule that will help you find balance. We will also adjust your daily calories to suit your needs specifically. I promise you that you will not starve on Medifast.
“I don’t need such a structured eating plan. I can just diet on my own. I know what I need to do. I just need to do it”
Consider how long you have been saying this. Are you really going to make those changes and stick to them on your own? If you are honest with yourself then I bet the answer is no. I know that you CAN do it. You know that you CAN do it. But WILL you? It’s immensely difficult to make such drastic changes without some structured guidance. I challenge you to at least get a jump start on your health by kicking things in gear with medifast. If you give it a month then I bet you can use the results you get to take things over more on your own. Medifast is a good place to start. That is, if you are serious about getting healthy. ..
“The food will taste bad. I don’t want to eat that food”
These are not gourmet meals but you also aren’t going to live on them the rest of your life. These meals are uniquely formulated with balanced nutrition to help you get in a fat-burning state while protecting you from muscle loss. Most anything that you would find in America on your own will not promise you that. This program has been around since 1980 with great success. While it’s not Momma’s cooking, you might find that you quite like most of the options.
“I can’t go without carbs”
I used to be addicted to carbs also. That’s because carbs ARE addictive. The first week on this plan will be hard as you wean from that addiction. But it will get easier and those cravings will get curbed. I encourage you to give this a chance for a month. If the weight loss, improved energy, improved confidence, happiness, loose clothes, and compliments you get on this program aren’t for you then you can always go back to the way you are living right now. That’s pretty risk free. Right?
So are you ready? If so, click here. I want to help you succeed.
* Bonus Objection *
“I don’t want to do all that. Can’t I just take a pill”?
Really? This tells me how defeated you feel from trying to change your lifestyle and how badly you need a lifestyle makeover. You are likely a professional dieter and have tried them all only to yo-yo through life. If you feel this way then you need this program immediately. While Uscriptives does have a weight loss program of safe supplements that can help you with fat lose and appetite control you still have to commit to major lifestyle changes for this to be meaningful, healthy, and permanent. Trust me, and I will help you succeed.
